Adulthood - Why rush?

What does it mean to be "adult" today? I'm curious by this question. When my dad was growing up in the late 1970s/early 1980s, "adult" meant you were finished with your education and had settled into a job that, while maybe not sexy, paid the bills. You'd found your soulmate and were married. You probably owned a small "starter" home (renting was for college kids), and you had a child in the backseat on your way to the grocery store. You had put away all those childish things, and you were on your own, embracing the gray flannel suit or the blue collar, voting for the school board election, chipping in for the local fund-raiser, and paying taxes. Oh, and you were all of 25.

Today if you tell young people that to be an adult you must be living on your own, earning your own way, have a wife and a kid and a house--you'll get a look of disbelief. "I'll never be an adult then" is usually their answer. Many people, of course, didn't take this short and direct path . There's exceptions to every rule (like my self). But, on average, that path was the norm: leave home, get an education or training, get a job, marry, buy a home, have kids--in that order: boom, boom, boom and DONE!

Why am I writing about this? Because I'm 24, I work, I still live with my mother, finishing my degree and I realized that I have a feeling that I'm running out of time to do everything I want to do. By the age of 24 (my age), my mother was already pregnant with my sister, married .. I want all that, the husband, the house, the kids.. but there is so much more I want to do before reaching that part of my life. So I after a while I reach the conclusion that now a days to 'us' , adulthood is more subjective. It's more often a feeling, not a thing. Do you guys agree with me?

Let me know how you feel about 'Adulthood'  ;)

5 Things that only Happen when You are drunk

Anyone who says "drunk words are sober thoughts" must not drink that much. Actually is more like "drunk words are the warped garbling of an intoxicated individual"

1. You put on something you'd never have the guts to ordinarily wear and feel like 'Sex PrincessQueen'
Yeah, you can definitely wear that shirt as a dress!!

2. You text the person listed in your phone as DO NOT TEXT. Or, in my case, Give the Phone to Carmo (my best friend and co-blogger of Nylon Street)

3. You really don't care about taking an expensive cab ride. I'm talking about potentially crossing state lines. 'That will be eleventeen thousand euros' says the taxi driver. 'Okay!' you slur, and take a selfie to finish it!

4. The after-party carbo load is basically your true dinner.

5. Try to kiss someone and then if they turn you down start crying. WHAT? I mean, I've never done this because I know what boys like; I know what guys want ( NO, I DON'T, I have no f*ing idea)

VOILÀ

Grey Bonnet + Cool Jacket + Cool Tee + Black Leather Pants + Black High Heels = VOILÀ Cool Look

Like explained in the formula above, this is a cool easy outfit :P
Most of you, probably, already have all the ingredients to cook this baby up! a white tee with a simple statement or may be a simple print, but be careful not to make it to flashy, because the flashy comes with the jacket. The one that I'm wearing is an example of a flashy and distinguish jacket, with a big print that over comes the tee. And to keep the attention on the jacket you add some black pants (the leader will spice it up a little) and some black high heels and VOILÀ... You have your self a pretty cool outfit

This is an easy outfit to pull off.. the Primark boots are comfortable, but at the same time with a little color and give kind of a look of 'I don't care' (which everybody knows is not true :P)you can also find them in black. You can use those boots for any day that you go out for a coffee at a friends house or juts for a drink after dinner with your girls. And if that's the case you can wear the black and white stripped coat from Primark. The skirt is a black high waist skirt from Mango which gives you some curves to the figure, and on top a silver and red spike necklace as an accessorize, for last a grey cropped top from Zara.

Jay-z ...Artist or Not?

JAY Z presents an unprecedented performance experience.  Picasso Baby: A Performance Art Film, debuted Friday, August 2 at 11 PM, on HBO. I saw this one month ago and I thought I would be a good idea to share it with you guys. I personally like Jay-z as an artist and a performer since the 'Dynasty: Roc la Familia' but with the years, he has gotten better and better! So..here I leave you, what I call a unique and amazing performance!

Enjoy!

Supermodel Robyn Lawley - She's on her way to "ending the thigh-gap obsession"

"Plus-size" supermodel Robyn Lawley talks the March issue of Australian Cosmopolitan, and she says she'd rather not be called "plus-size" anymore, thanks very much.(She's on her way to "ending the thigh-gap obsession" as the cover lines outs.)
In her interview Lawley says to the magazine: "Personally, I hate the term plus-size. It's ridiculous and derogatory — it puts women down and it puts a label on them." And I totally agree!! I mean PLEASE... look at her! she look amazing and plus-size is not the words that come to mind! She also said;
"Women love seeing women they can relate to," she continues. "It's not about the tiny 19 year-old model with no personality. People want to see curvier girls. 'Plus-size' modeling is in itself [a] very small [industry] — they just need more girls to do it, and more amazing straight-sized models going into it."
I personally agree with her!
plus-size is a derogatory term for anyone! super model or not! So YOU GO GIRL! tear down the thigh-gap obsession!!!

WOOOWW or NOT? Maleficent - Official Dream Trailer (2014) [HD] Angelina Jolie

Well... if you ask me, I love every single movie related to Disney, and even more if it's inspired on one of the oldest and famous Disney Princesses, Aurora (Sleeping Beauty)

"Sleeping Beauty" tale is told from the perspective of the villainous Maleficent and looks at the events that hardened her heart and drove her to curse young Princess Aurora.I want to know what you think! Is it going to be a-m-a-z-i-n-g or is it going to totally suck? let us know!

Black & Yellow

We miss summer, so we thought it would be nice to go back... just for a bit! Therefore we decided to post this outfit (which is obviously not for this time of the year) but still, we decided it would be nice to have something fresh and summerly!! Like most of you know, this past year its been all about the beanie (that yellow thing)...you would've seen it in every color...black, purple, pink. And also the skater skirt. You can make this skirt work out with almost everything, it suits well the body and you can wear it with high heels or some sneakers or like me, with some military boots!
Hope you guys like it!

Well ladies, hoping the weather gets better, here we leave you with an inspiration for a date or a casual dinner party. It's got a little of Miley Cyrus touch...some Bimba & Lola and black scarpin Zara shoes to class it up a bit. We actually had a lot of fun shooting this day. We wore in this amazing 'secret place' in Parede-Portugal, just chilling and taking some pics...(because EVERYBODY does that, "it's normal")
:p
 Hope you enjoy it

What to do for Valentines day ?

Well..ladies I don't know about you guys, but I'm gonna be ALONE for Valentines day...no special gentleman or lady in my life, no one waiting in line for my attention or devotion, so I was thinking, what am I gonna do for the 14th of February? the day when love is celebrated by kids who write their valentine letters, by couples who go out to dinner ...you have roses and chocolate everywhere... and most importantly you have to have someone to share this day with. So...like I said I don't have my prince charming (yet) , I have my self ;)

6 Amazing Places Around the World!

Well I was 'surfing' the net the other day and I was looking for nice traveling suggestions for me and my friends for this summer and I stumbled into this amazing pictures of the most incredible abandoned places. I guess most of you have already seen this somewhere... but I thought I would be a good idea to share it with you guys. Enjoy !

Sunken yacht in Antarctica

This is one of the 6 that I like the most! A 76-foot powerboat has sunk in Antarctica, now trapped under ice. Four Brazilian men who were touring the remote area in a trawler were rescued from the sinking vessel, Ice compression and 60-knot winds are suspected as the cause of the sinking.Curios fact, the boat is owned by the Brazilian journalist and entrepreneur João Lara Mesquita, who was making a documentary in the region.

The Tunnel of Love in Ukraine

Mirny Diamond Mine- Eastern Siberia, Russia

Hashima Island, Japan

City Hall Subway Station- New York City

The remains of the SS Ayrfield in Homebush Bay, Australia

This is one of my favorites! Homebush Bay is a bay on the south bank of the Parramatta River, in the west of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. The name is also used to refer to an area to the west and south of the bay itself, which was formerly an official suburb of Sydney, which has now become the suburbs of Sydney Olympic Park, Wentworth Point and part of the neighbouring suburb of Lidcombe. Homebush Bay is located 16 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of Auburn City.
